We have a range of versatile, functional and welcoming spaces available for hire. We have hosted all types of events, from church events to concerts, book readings, weddings, conferences, rehearsals or meetings and more. The church is fitted with an excellent AV system, offering brilliant clarity for all presentation, sound and lighting needs, and our friendly, helpful technical team are available to support your events. This flexible space makes an excellent venue for concerts, conferences, and events. It seats approximately 240 people.
The Sanctuary comes complete with a modern sound system, connected to an audio loop which serves the whole sanctuary. Our main PA features HK Audio Elements and is rated at 100db SPL/ 2400w. Our system is optimised for speech and consists of EV mains along with side and back fill under the balcony. It can handle all types of music from classical guitar to pop and musicals – all with brilliant clarity.
The 32 channel digital mixer offers almost limitless routing options and a wide array of effects. It is augmented by a digital stage-box allowing up to 12 mics or instruments (via d.i.) to be quickly connected.
It can also drive artiste’s own active monitors.
Two projection screens and a full speech sound system allow for many possibilities. The area can also be partially or fully cleared for events such as exhibitions or concerts. Tea and coffee can be arranged in the foyer and there are two toilets (one disabled accessible).
The Upper Hall is the original church hall and dates back to the late 19th century. With a timber barrel ceiling it has a brilliant acoustic and is popular as a rehearsal space for choirs and theatre groups. Its clear space is also ideal for activities such as yoga, keep-fit and martial arts.
It has a small modern kitchen area where drinks can be prepared.
Please note that as this hall is upstairs it is our only non-accessible room
